10 Ways to Celebrate Canada 150 in Kelowna

1. Enjoy the opera–outside!

Opera Kelowna is hosting a Summer Concert Series this August that includes performances under the stars and in various parks across the city. They're encouraging audience members to bring along a picnic, blanket, and chairs. Enjoy the beauty of the outdoors and some gorgeous classical music performed by true Canadian talents.

2. Live it up on Canada Day!

Celebrate Canada Day this year with a whole host of family-friendly activities at the Kelowna Art Gallery. The community is invited to paint cardboard boxes which will then be used to collect Food Bank donations.

You can also enjoy fun activities, performances, and a food fair at Kelowna's annual Canada Day Festival in Waterfront Park.

3. Hike Myra Canyon.

Hiking the Myra Canyon Trestles is a quintessential Kelowna experience and showcase the beauty of the area. Take a guided tour or explore the tunnels and 18 trestle bridges by yourself. The views are well-worth the walk!

4. Go on a farm-to-table tour.

The Okanagan is famous for its incredible produce. Visit one of the many nearby farms to learn about Okanagan cherries, honey, apples and more. Then head to one of Kelowna's delicious farm-to-table restaurants to taste incredible local flavours in action.
